Hello everybody,
i've looked around a lot, but nowhere can i find the possibility to
have the cursor positioned above the answered text, when responding to
an email, instead of below.
Imposssible?

Possible! You need to use %X (or the equivalent %cursor) in your
templates. This controls the initial placement of the cursor.

The first hit by a Startpage and by a Google search answers your
question:

Create template in account folder properties. For one account I use:

%X
%as
Dne %d %N %A napsal(a) zprávu %s:
%q

Please, please, please, please don't top-post. Please.

A: This.
Q: What is top-posting?
A: Because it messes up the flow.
Q: Why should one not top-post?

The OP seems to be from Germany, so assumed he needs Claws for office
work, he might not have a choice.

Sometimes business people ask to quote the complete correspondence. If
you would bottom post, they won't read the mail, because they think you
didn't answer. It's expected that replies are on top, followed by tons
of older messages, including all that grotesque signatures that are
three times as long as the message bodies are.

Regards,
Another Ralf

Even more off-topic than moxalt's answer in regards to this thread:

I would not assume that someone using a .de-address as sender is from
Germany (especially when it's posteo.de).

I can confirm this reasoning. In addition this flow makes threading
quite unuseful - sometimes.

The OP's name spelling is the same spelling as my name's spelling.

Ralf

I suspect that in most other countries the spelling more often is

Ralph

That's the reason that I wrote that the "OP seems to be from Germany".

and what about the complete stack of company logo's (multi-fold, as all
replyers add their own set), smiley gifs, jpegs for twitter, facebook
and other shit and worse, advertisements!

Even when people expect me to do top-posting, I do so with just a
single line as top-post:

"I have answers to all your questions. Read them below the questions you
asked in your ridiculously long mail (from which I stripped all useless
company logo's and signatures)"

Then I reply as usual. If they still don't get it, its their fault, not
mine.

That's why I used the word "grotesque". This are the signatures I'm
talking about. I usually cut it and I bet nobody notices, since nobody
will read the quoted mails.

This is what I often do too, but if I want my money back, a good job or
something similar, I prefer that they get it ;).

I like that idea.

True, but there's a special place in hell for people who top post in
mailing lists discussions.

In some places it is the expected, and often required, behaviour.

It's configurable on a per-folder basis to allow it to be used in some
cases and not in others.
